Self-Administered Injectable Medications

Effective January 1, 2009 Changes to Self Administered Drug List

In accordance with BCBSNC policy, medications are reviewed on a periodic basis to determine if certain medications can be safely administered by a member. As a result of our most recent review, thirty-nine additional drugs are being added to the list of self administered medications. The reclassification of the below listed specific medications, as self-administered, will be effective January 1, 2009.
