This year’s National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Health Plan Ratings and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Quality Rating System (QRS) Stars Ratings for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) are in. These results reflect the quality of care our members receive, how satisfied members are with their care, and our efforts to keep improving in collaboration with our network providers

- Commercial PPO: 3.5 out of 5 stars
- Commercial EPO: 3.0 out of 5 stars
2025 QRS Marketplace Ratings
- Marketplace PPO: 4.0 out of 5 stars
- Marketplace EPO: 4.0 out of 5 stars
- Marketplace POS: 4.0 out of 5 stars
These ratings enable consumers and employers to make informed choices when shopping for a quality health plan and are based on nationally recognized measures, including:
- Commercial products: Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS), Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS), and National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Health Plan Accreditation Survey.
- Marketplace products: Qualified Health Plan (QHP) Enrollee Experience Survey, HEDIS, and Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA) measures.
