May 11, 2023 Update: View the presentation from the webinar held on April 24.

As communicated previously in our March 13, 2023 publication, on January 30, 2023, the federal government announced the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE) will end on May 11, 2023. In alignment with expiration of the PHE, Blue Cross NC will update coverage accordingly. Vaccines, tests and their respective administration will be covered in alignment with each individual’s benefits, effective May 12, 2023.

On Monday, April 24 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) is hosting a webinar to help providers understand the expiration of certain provisions related to COVID-19.

You can register for the webinar utilizing Outlook Calendar. (Make sure to click the date and time.)

Priority topics of discussion include, but are not limited to:

  • COVID-19 testing
  • Vaccine administration
  • Telehealth
