Reminder: Provider Training and Attestation Requirements

Please note: This communication applies to Healthy Blue + MedicareSM (HMO D-SNP) offered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC).

This is a reminder that all participating providers in our Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Medicare Advantage network are required to complete the Healthy Blue + Medicare (DSNP) MODEL OF CARE training. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) require all payers that offer a SNP product to provide MODEL OF CARE training for their network providers. This training is required annually. In our November 5, 2020 communication, we stated that our current Medicare Advantage provider network would be included in the DSNP product and that no additional contracts were required to be signed for participation.
