Reminder: Availity for Claims and More for Healthy Blue + Medicare

Please note: This communication applies to Healthy Blue + MedicareSM (HMO D-SNP) offered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC).

This is a reminder that beginning Jan. 1, 2021, the Availity Portal will be your exclusive secure website to access many of your HMO D-SNP online tools and resources. Please do not submit claims to Blue Cross NC.

• Visit the Healthy Blue + Medicare provider page.

  • To submit claims, click the "Go to Availity” button.

    • The Healthy Blue + Medicare Payer ID is North Carolina - 00602. Please make note of this Payer ID as it will route EDI transactions to the appropriate payer.

  • For additional training and information, click on "Electronic Data Interchange Overview” and "Remittance Reference Guide."
