Reimbursement Policy Update: DRG Inpatient Facility Transfers

Please note, this communication applies to Healthy Blue + MedicareSM (HMO D-SNP) offered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC).

Effective November 30, 2021, Blue Cross NC claims for members who leave against medical advice and are admitted to another acute care facility on the same day are considered transfers and will follow the criteria detailed in the policy.
