International student waiver

International students may be eligible to waive enrollment in the school-sponsored Student Blue health plan if they have other health insurance coverage that meets their institution's waiver requirements.

International students waiver guidelines for 2026-27 academic year

Find out if your current health insurance meets the requirements to waive your institution's Student Blue health plan. Review the benefits and coverage your plan must provide and learn which requirements apply to J-1 and F-1 visa holders. If your insurance does not meet these requirements, you may need to enroll in your school's Student Blue health plan.
