Blue Points FAQs

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) is phasing out the Blue Points program. This is part of our ongoing effort to enhance our health and wellness programs. In addition to expanding the wellness resources that are available to you, we are offering you a more personalized online experience.

Why is Blue Points ending?

We are making improvements to our health and wellness programs. As part of our ongoing commitment to your well being, some programs are changing, some are being added and some are being phased out. Blue Points is one of the programs we are phasing out.

Is there going to be a one-to-one replacement program for Blue Points?

While there will not be a one-to-one replacement for Blue Points, we remain committed to helping our members stay healthy.

What other options are there?

Through programs like Blue365®, we will continue to offer ways to help you meet your wellness goals. Please see your Benefits Administrator to determine eligibility for other possible program offerings.

What is Blue365®?

Blue365® is a member discount program for products and services including gym memberships, healthy eating options and more. Click here to learn more about Blue365®.

What will happen to my Blue Points once the program ends?

Members will not have access to Blue Points once the program ends. Any points balance not previously redeemed will be forfeited.

Will there be a reimbursement for unused Blue Points?

No. Unused points will be forfeited once the program ends. We encourage you to log and redeem your points before the expiration date.
