Your Blue Medicare Advantage member ID card

Your Blue Cross NC member ID card holds important information for whenever you need to visit your doctor or pharmacy.

When you sign up for a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) Medicare plan, you'll receive a member ID card in the mail. Your ID card is your identification that says, "I'm a Blue Cross NC member."

It's a good idea to keep this card in your wallet so you'll always have it with you at the doctor's office, pharmacy, or hospital. It allows the clinic to verify your benefits and coverage so you don't overpay for medical care.

Finding important information on your card

Your Medicare card has a lot of useful information. Understanding what's on the front and back of your card can help you get care more easily and avoid frustration.

On the back, you'll find resources to make the most of your Blue Medicare Advantage plan.

The website address in the top right corner provides complete information on your coverage. Below that you will find our customer service phone number, which you can call when you have questions or concerns about billing, claims, or any issue.

If you need to send us something in writing, you can send it to the address on your card.

Access your digital ID card

Many doctors' offices now accept insurance cards digitally. If you don't want to carry your physical member ID card with you, you can safely view and store it on your smartphone.

Log in to Blue Cross NC on your computer, phone, or tablet and choose ID Card from the account menu in the top right corner of your screen. There, you can view, download, or print your card.
