Blue FlexCard

The Blue FlexCard is available for members of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) Medicare Advantage plans. Depending on your plan, the card may include rewards and over-the-counter (OTC) and vision allowances.

Medicare Advantage plan members receive their card in the mail when they enroll. Before you can start using your card, you'll have to activate it through the Blue FlexCard portal or by calling the number on the Blue FlexCard.

After your plan's start date, visit the Supplemental Benefits section on the Blue Cross NC member portal Coverage page. From there, you can shop online, manage your allowances, and find participating stores near you.¹

If your plan has an OTC allowance, a set amount is loaded onto your card each quarter. You can buy your health and wellness items from the OTC catalog online or by phone to ship directly to your home. Or use your Blue FlexCard in-store at participating retailers.^{1 2}
