How do I add or delete family members from a plan?
If you get insurance through work, talk to your group administrator about making changes, then complete any required forms.
If you bought your own health plan:
- Go to your member portal
- Click Manage Plan in the menu
- Click Manage Changes to this Plan in the correct plan
- Choose change the name of a person or remove a person
If you bought a plan on healthcare.gov, you must visit the Health Insurance Marketplace to complete any needed forms.
To ensure coverage is active on the date a dependent becomes eligible, you must complete this change in 30 days or less after they become eligible.
