BCBSNC's HMO product has earned Excellent Accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to measuring the quality of America's health care. In addition, in July 2002, our Blue Options^SM plan became the first Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan in the state to be accredited by NCQA, earning Full Accreditation - the highest level available for PPO plans.
