Kellan joined the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation staff in February 2007. She is responsible for managing the BCBSNC Foundation's Health of Vulnerable Populations focus area.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Kellan worked as the contributions specialist for Progress Energy's foundation and corporate giving programs. Her 18 years of nonprofit and corporate experience include: community relations, marketing, fundraising, media relations and capacity building, including the creation of her consulting firm, Moore Business, Inc. in 2001.

Kellan's passion for outreach to underserved communities has also included working as the community relations' director for Rex Healthcare, the executive director for The Foundation of Hope for the Research and Treatment of Mental Illness and the development director for the Methodist Home for Children.

Kellan earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Ohio University and has lived in the Triangle since 1989. In 2006, the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce named her "Rookie of the Year" for top sales performance in their annual membership campaign.
