Jennifer MacDougall joined the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation team in June 2006. Her specialty is physical activity and nutrition, and she is responsible for managing the Healthy Active Communities focus area.

Before joining the BCBSNC Foundation, Jennifer worked for five years with Recreation Resources Service at North Carolina State University, focusing on the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund Grant program as well as health-and-wellness-based partnership efforts between the City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation department and public health agencies. Her previous experience included working with North Carolina Amateur Sports-Cycle North Carolina, Special Olympics North Carolina, and the North Carolina High School Athletic Association.

Jennifer currently serves as vice-chair of the Wake County Council on Fitness and Health. She is a member of the Parks and Recreation Partnership for a Healthier Wake, the North Carolina Arthritis Advisory Board, and the PAN Social Marketing Advisory Committee.

Jennifer earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management from North Carolina State University and attended the inaugural Move More Scholars Institute in May 2006.
