Implantable Bone Conduction Hearing Aids SUR6381 Under "When Not Covered", removed "sensorineural" from statement "The use of an implantable bone conduction hearing aid in persons with single-sided deafness (unilateral sensorineural deaf­ness in one ear while the other ear has serviceable hearing) is considered not medically necessary."   Notification given 9/22/08.  Effective date 12/29/08.
