Notification of Policy Revisions Effective February 12, 2007 (Posted December 11, 2006)

Medical Policy Revision
Positron Emission Tomography(PET) Policy reformatted. Added the following statement to the "When PET is not covered" section: The use of PET Scans for all other indications, including but not limited to cancer of the liver, ovary, pancreas, Small Cell Lung and Testicular cancer, soft tissue sarcoma and cancer of unknown primary is considered investigational. Notification given 12/11/06. Effective date 2/12/07.
