Retail specialty drug networkPharmacy listTo help keep prescription drug costs affordable for our members, BCBSNC has implemented a retail specialty drug pharmacy network. This new network becomes effective January 1, 2007. You must fill any specialty drug prescriptions included in the program at one of the network pharmacies listed below in order for it to be covered.1 To see if your drug is included in the new network, review the specialty drug list.
1 Not all specialty drugs are subject to the new retail specialty drug network policies. Many specialty drugs are administered in a medical office and are covered under the medical benefits of your health plan These specialty drugs are not part of the retail specialty drug network program. However, specialty drugs that are covered under the pharmacy benefits of your health plan, such as oral or self-administered specialty drugs, are included in the program.
