2010 Spring Provider ConferencesBlue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) invited Network Providers to participate in Provider Conferences held at seven statewide locations throughout the months of May and June 2010
In 2010 we continue to look for more ways to partner with you, North Carolina's health care community, sharing in our common goal for improving the health and wellness of people living in our state. This year our conferences included a focus on the recent passage of health care legislation and together with the provider audience we explored some of the benefits and expected changes that "reform" may bring to our state's health care delivery system. New in 2010 we offered panel discussions and learned Best Practices from members of North Carolina's own local provider community. Additionally, the days were designed to provide more opportunity for attendees to interact with staff from BCBSNC, so that together we could form new partnerships and explore health care delivery topics that are of importance to us all!
Please note that the information contained in the below presentations was developed and current for the May-June 2010 conferences.

The Professional Services and Facility Services Sessions offered a comprehensive overview of many topics that affect how together we do business when providing and arranging care for Blue Plan members. We talked about methods to improve claims response time and ways to help save administrative costs for your health care business, the Blues, and most importantly your patients - our members.
The environment of health care delivery is changing as we speak and together we must foresee and confront new challenges with expertise and cost efficiency. The Decision Maker session was designed specifically for office administrators and practice managers to discuss health care reform, problem solving, and current business trends affecting the health care businesses they manage.
