Recent System Upgrade Is Complete
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina successfully concluded implementation of the essential system upgrades this past weekend. All provider services resumed normal operations as of Monday afternoon, February 18.
The system upgrades were necessary due to regulatory mandates, and relate to federal health information security requirements, including major changes to the medical service codes used in claims processing.
