National Adult Clinical Guidelines for the State Health Plan

In our ongoing efforts to ensure the highest quality of care for State Health Plan members, we would like to share a summary of recent updates to nationally recognized clinical guidelines.

The revised guidelines for adults are driven by the latest clinical evidence supporting quality management of diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, cardiac risk, and adult immunizations. We hope these guidelines will assist you in your care management of State Health Plan patients who have chronic health conditions and preventive needs.

Through collaborations such as this between the North Carolina Department of Public Health and the State Health Plan, we hope this information will help you provide the best care available to your patients. Aggressive efforts to prevent avoidable morbidity and mortality from infectious diseases can impact not only State Health Plan members, but North Carolinians throughout the state.
