Delhaize America Member Mailing Incorrectly Advises of PCP Participation Status
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) recently experienced a coding issue within our database, which resulted in letters being mailed in error in mid-February to a number of Delhaize America members. The mailing may have incorrectly advised that a member’s primary care physician (PCP) is no longer participating in the BCBSNC network. Please be assured that the issue is now corrected. Members who received these letters in error will be sent a subsequent mailing advising them of the issue and clarifying their PCPs in-network participation status with BCBSNC.
BCBSNC sincerely apologizes for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused you and your staff. Providers with an active contractual agreement with BCBSNC who receive calls from concerned Delhaize America members, or are presented with a copy of the letter, should advise the member to disregard the letter. Members should contact Delhaize America Dedicated Customer Service at 1.888.709.7092 if they have additional questions or need to have a provider’s participating status confirmed. Members can always see a provider’s participation status in the BCBSNC network by accessing our online provider directory at www.bcbsnc.com.
