Delay in Processing of Corrected Claims

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) has identified an issue that has delayed the processing of corrected claims for our commercial lines of business, including ASO, IPP-Host, and the State Health Plan.  We apologize for this delay in processing corrected claims, but please be assured we are working diligently to address the issue as quickly as possible. 

We anticipate backlogs will be eliminated for most of the impacted claims by December 31, 2013.  However, corrected claims for ASO groups may take additional time with expected completion in January 2014. 

Please do not resubmit a corrected claim at this time for any corrected claim previously submitted, as this can cause additional delays and possible denial for duplicate claim submissions.  If you need to check the status of a particular previously submitted corrected claim, please have the DCN available when you contact BCBSNC Customer Service to help us expedite the research process for you.
