Delay in Claim Payments Possible During the Holidays

With the holidays upon us, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) would like to remind that Federal banking holiday hours may impact claim payments for some limited lines of self-funded business.  Because of closures and shortened business hours it is possible that your practice/facility may see a slight delay in claim payments during the last two weeks of 2012.  Providers can expect normal payments of claims to resume beginning on January 2, 2013.
