Blue Quality Physician ProgramSM (BQPP)

Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina is pleased to offer select primary care physicians the opportunity to apply for the Blue Quality Physician ProgramSM (BQPP). Enrollment in the BQPP demonstrates that your practice is committed to patient-centered care and quality.

To be eligible to participate in the BQPP:

  • The practice must be a primary care provider.
  • The practice must have signed and returned the new Network Participation Agreement
  • All Practice Locations must meet the following mandatory elements:
      1. NCQA PPC or PPC-PCMH recognition
      2. Electronic Prescribing
      3. Claims Submission
      4. Cultural Competency Training
      5. After Hours Care (Triage Protocol)

The BQPP evaluates practice and physician criteria.

We encourage you to "pre-score" your practice prior to submitting the application.

A practice with a minimum score of 165 points should apply online to participate in the BQPP.
