Flu Shot - program details

Members of Blue Medicare HMO and Blue Medicare HMO can get a flu shot during flu season, while vaccine supplies last, at any of the following locations:

Physician's office: Members may schedule an appointment for a flu shot or visit a physician's flu shot clinic. Members won’tbe charged for the flu shot. Members who receive other services in addition to the flu shot may have to pay a copayment.

Participating health department: Members may visit a participating health department to get a flu shot. Members won't be charged for the flu shot. Members who receive other services in addition to the flu shot may pay a copayment

Participating immunizing pharmacist: Members ages 18 and older may go to a participating immunizing pharmacist or CVS MinuteClinic to receive a flu shot. A limited number of immunizing pharmacists have contracted with BCBSNC to administer the flu shot. Members won't be charged for the flu shot. To find a participating immunizing pharmacist, visit the Doctors, Rx and Hospitals section on our site and search for "Pharmacist (Flu & Other Limited Injections)" under Specialty. To find a participating CVS MinuteClinic, search for "Convenience Care Center" under Specialty.

Blue Medicare HMO and Blue Medicare PPO plans are offered by PARTNERS National Health Plans of North Carolina, Inc. (PARTNERS), a subsidiary of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC).
